I went to another talk he did at St Brides last night - it was fantastic, very inspiring, and wonderful to see such a range of work over his whole career, even random stuff from college. It was fascinating to hear him talk about how so much of the poster work is based on the symmetry of the letter-forms. Obvious now that I look at it! And making his own letters to print out of bits of cardboard - he showed a slide of a used one which was a beautiful object in itself.

Yes I went to the second talk he gave. It was amazing to hear all about how he started and who he met. I had no idea he had met Froshaug in Watford of all places. Some of his early Watford type work was beautifully simple.
