For me March is going to be a little bit crazy. It feels like I'm hitting the road and going on tour, so if you're interested, here are the tour dates.
First off, I'm doing a warm up gig with Emma at Kingston University. Emma used to work at Kingston and she's going back to talk to the current students about her job. I'm going along for moral support and to make sure the projector works. I'm looking forward to that.
Then I'm going away for a few days, to rehearse for the up and coming dates. You know, like the Arctic Monkeys do.
I'll resurface in Romania where I'm helping to judge the Filter Design Competition.
I'm really excited about that because it's the first independent design competition in Romania. It's an honour to be invited back and I'm looking forward to seeing Diana and the guys from Grapefruit again. It's also sponsored by Peroni which is no bad thing.
I'll be discussing "the opportunities, the issues and the methods for agencies and client marketing teams to further engage with design". That sounds good, doesn't it? Also on the panel are people from Imagination, Digit and Jump, so once again, I'm really looking forward to that.
Then it's Russell's thing which I'll try and pop along too. (Errr, except that I've just noticed it's sold out.)
Then it's this.
I'm ridiculously excited to be one of the Writing For Design judges at D&AD this year. I've always wondered what goes on at the judging and now I'll get to find out. Looks like a lot of work if that photo is anything to go by.
I shall endeavour to write full NDG reports on all the above gigs. Tickets available at all good ticket shops. No booking fee.
Oh and if anyone has any views on "the opportunities, the issues and the methods for agencies and client marketing teams to further engage with design" drop 'em in the comments. Ta.
