well spotted/ flagged - (here follows some of my design degree thorising that hasnt seen the light of day until now - so thanks for the chance to vent ) - -
i saw the police ones the other day and thought similar - its a subset of the Gill Sans as Offical UK Font - ever since Britness was rediscovered as cool in the mid nineties, Gill Has been the thing - this in reaction against Grunge (US punk) and eighties slickness (US corporate) - we just need to make sure that Gill doesnt become too parochial - good post as ever - max
